| Biography | Kim West (JD/MBA, Certified Coach, Certified Divorce Specialist (CDS)) is a Divorce Consultant & Coach and the founder of a company called Navigating the Knot. Kim has a law degree and an MBA from the University of Colorado and comes from a corporate background, having worked for companies like Zayo Group and Fitbit.
After going through a rough divorce in her 20s, she discovered firsthand how painfully little she had known about both marriage and divorce despite coming from a legal background. So in 2017, she chose to turn her pain into her purpose and left the corporate world to start her own company providing education and support to others surrounding marriage and divorce.
Kim serves as a Board Member for the Boulder Interdisciplinary Committee (BIDC), which is as 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and community of professionals who support families through divorce. The BIDC is committed to educating professionals and strengthening the community’s resources. Its mission is to improve outcomes for families by providing training, consultation, and community to professionals who navigate family law issues.
When she isn’t assisting clients, Kim enjoys rock climbing, running, hiking, snowboarding, and mountain biking. She loves to travel, spend time with her dog (a puggle named Clover), and forge new connections. |

My work is truly my calling. I started my business as an act of turning my pain into my purpose after going through a rough divorce when I was in my 20s and learning firsthand how overwhelming, complex, and confusing the process could be. As a result, I ultimately chose to dedicate my life to helping others navigate the divorce process and avoid making some of the same mistakes I did.
By melding my legal background with my coaching experience, I can help clients with what to expect from a process perspective as well as coach them on how to move forward and get to a place where they are thriving beyond their divorce.
I offer one-on-one coaching and consulting services to clients nationwide via phone, Skype, or Zoom video calls.
