Chapter meetings occur monthly and are facilitated by the chapter leadership. In addition to networking and building relationships, each member has the opportunity to present an NADP ED Talk and provide valuable divorce-specific education to their fellow chapter members.
Join Vicki Vollweiler, Founder of College Financial Prep, for an educational discussion focused on helping separated, divorced, and remarried parents with special needs students navigate the college planning and financial aid process with greater confidence.
College planning can already feel overwhelming for families. When divorce, remarriage, co-parenting challenges, financial aid concerns, and emotional stress are added to the mix, many parents feel unsure where to begin. In this presentation, Vicki will discuss practical college planning and financial aid strategies for families navigating divorce and separation, while also touching on considerations for families of students with special needs from a financial planning perspective.
This session is designed to provide professionals and parents with supportive, practical guidance to help reduce both financial and emotional stress throughout the college planning journey.
Speaker’s Bio:
Vicki Vollweiler is the Founder of College Financial Prep and a nationally recognized Divorce & College Planning Strategist who helps families navigate the financial and emotional complexities of paying for college.
As a divorced parent herself, Vicki understands both personally and professionally the unique challenges families face when planning for college during and after divorce. She works with separated, divorced, widowed, remarried, and married families across the country to help them better understand financial aid, FAFSA and CSS Profile strategies, college affordability, scholarship opportunities, appeals, and student loan planning.
Vicki has presented for divorce professionals, mediators, and financial professionals nationwide, including organizations such as the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts (IDFA), the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation (NYSCDM), and the New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators (NJAPM).
She is also the author of the book College Planning for Divorced & Widowed Parents.
