Presenter: Jennifer Weeks Ph.D

Approved for 1 General CLE and 0.5 Marital and Family Law CLE by the Florida Bar

With the increasing public acceptance of sexual or pornography addiction, these issues are being brought to light more often in divorce and custody proceedings. As sexual addiction is not a recognized diagnosis by the DSM-V there is often confusion as to what sexual addiction is. This talk will discuss the differential “diagnosis” of sexual addiction, how sexual addiction may impact a relationship and lead it to divorce as well as child safety and what to look for when seeking assessment for sexual addiction in a divorce or child custody case.

Dr. Jennifer Weeks is the Founder and Director of Sexual Addiction Treatment Services, an out-patient
treatment program specializing in treating all aspects of problematic sexual behavior including sexual
offending, sexual addiction, and professional sexual boundary violations. SATS also treats impaired
healthcare professionals and all aspects of trauma.

Dr. Weeks graduated with a degree in Psychology from Purdue University. She obtained her Master’s
Degree in Psychology and her Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Georgia. She is a Licensed
