In this presentation, professionals that work with divorcing clients will learn to being cognitive to the high conflict in their day to day professional demands. Resilience is crucial for due to the emotionally charged nature of their work.  Professionals need to learn to handle the stress, sadness, and anger that can arise from the many difficult situations they see with their clients, as well as from their own trauma and childhood experiences.  It is important for professionals to remain calm and composed while navigating the many conflicts their clients face.

Long hours and heavy workloads can be time consuming and demanding.. Resilience helps to manage this without burning out and remaining effective.  Facing disappointments and setbacks require resilience to bounce back and learn from their experiences to continue advocating for their clients.  Resilience helps one to stay focused on their duties and uphold ethical standards, navigate the complexities of their work, and sustain their own well-being throughout their careers.

Dana Cahn Gordon – Biography
Dana Cahn Gordon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, founder, and CEO of f.a.c.e.s. (Family and Coparenting Enrichment Services, LLC), and the not-for-profit entity, f.a.c.e.s. for children (Facing Adverse Childhood Experiences for Children) DBA Family Services Broward. f.a.c.e.s. provides many services to families going through divorce and or separation in the tri-county area of South Florida and beyond.  These services include Coparenting and Parenting programs, Supervised Visitations including therapeutic supervised visitations and monitored exchanges, Individual, Family and Play therapy, Anger Management courses and forensic evaluations.  f.a.c.e.s. also conducts weekly free support groups for fathers.Dana is trained as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator, Guardian Ad Litem for the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida, and as a Parent Coordinator. She obtained her Master’s degree in social work at Barry University in 1992 and has served the South Florida Community for over 30 years as a licensed clinical social worker and business owner.  She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, The Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, serves on the executive board for the Supervised Visitation Network.  She is past president of KidSide, a non-profit organization that provides funding for Family Court Services in Miami-Dade County. She was asked to be a participant in the first Collaborative Court Pilot Project by the Judges in Miami Dade, 11th Judicial Courts, and took the lead in bringing the project to Broward County 17th Judicial courts.  Dana oversees f.a.c.e.s. daily administrative and clinical operations in the tri-county area and has extensive experience assisting families going through divorce, separation, paternity, and post-dissolution issues involving children.
